I had a beautiful day!
- The Zoo at Forest Park. At first, the entrance gate was closed. Then, I couldn’t find the zoo. Then, I couldn’t explain to my boyfriend where I was and got frustrated. Eventually, he found me.
- Tailgated. Sat on pillows in my trunk and ate chicken florentine pizza, spicy buffalo wings, a salad and fruit salad.
- Drove over to the zoo. Walked in probably four different directions before we realized that we had parked at the zoo entrance already.
- Saw the coolest monkeys ever. So many different kinds! My favorite was probably the week old Capuchin. We didn’t realize the mom was carrying a baby because it was so small and blended in with her fur so well. I’m so happy we spotted him!
- Because it was excruciatingly hot, we decided to find something to do indoors. We have been waiting to see the Avengers for so long, we decided the air conditioning would be nice and we really couldn’t put off our urges any longer.
- Got to the movie theatre at 2:30. The movie started at 4:05. It was nice to sit on the padded bench for an hour and talk while we waited for the theatre to open up.
- We played three matches of air hockey, only because I kicked his butt the first game and he was embarrassed. I lost the other two because other people came in and I lose my game when I’m distracted.
- We got a popcorn and soda and sat in the theatre until the movie began. I thought it was awesome. I really didn’t expect it to be so good. I enjoyed the humor and how well Joss Whedon did. Buffy and the Avengers? The man has some serious tricks up his sleeves! I also decided I want to be Black Widow for Halloween. I have to brush up on my Russian, but I don’t think that will be a problem.
- Vadim brought be back to my car still parked at the Forest Park and we said goodbye. Seeing him every week has been such a blessing and I cherish every minute we get to spend together. Leaving has been killing me though. I begin to cry as soon as we separate. I’ve never been like this. Not with him or anyone else. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” has become my phrase. It’s so true. Last summer, I fell in love with him. This summer, my feelings have grown exponentially. It’s definitely become much clearer that he’s the one for me. After getting over the past, I trust him and believe him when he shares his feelings. It’s a relief to say the least. I thought I would never do either of these things after last year. I’m so thankful.
I’ll add pictures from the zoo once Vadim puts them on Facebook!
